Fresh Dill…here for a limited time

IMG_0022[1]One of the things I like best about being here, is having to opportunity to talk to customers. A few days ago we sold some fresh dill to a woman that told us that the secret to making the best dill pickles is to cure them in a brine and leave them in the sun for a few days before pickling. I’ve haven’t tried that method, but then I’ve mostly been doing pickled green beans and pickled garlic for the past few years. A favourite recipe that our friends and family always enjoy is dilly beans with garlic.

Whatever your preference for pickling, if you need fresh dill, complete with seed heads,  our fresh dill is now available for sale. It won’t last long. Happy pickling!
